Abstracts are invited from Post Graduate trainees as well as consultants, in clinical and research areas pertaining to Interventional Pulmonology.. towards presentation in 2 formats- e poster or paper presentation at BRONCHOCON 24.

Authors will have the option of choosing to submit their abstract in 8 categories as mentioned below. Submission in different categories by the same author are also allowed.Submission can be done for e poster or oral presentation or both.

Airway interventions
Obstructive airway disease related
Lung Cancer
Interstitial Lung diseases
TB and Infections
Pleural diseases
Innovations
Miscellaneous

Acceptance for oral presentation will be done after shortlisting by a panel of subject experts. The awards are as follows
Best Scientific Paper Award in the name of " Rajgopala Rao Best Scientific Paper Award "
Dr. V K Jain best Poster IAB Award” to be given to best Poster paper presentation,
“Dheeraj Gupta Young Investigator award". Age limit should be < 40yrs.
The Presenting Author should Register for the Conference.

Instructions for abstract writing

  • To be written in English, Microsoft Word document, Arial font.
  • Use a word count of 250 words or less (excluding title, key words and refer ences)
  • Include a title of 12 words maximu
  • The abstract should be structured as follows:
  • Case based discussions:
  • Introduction, Case summary, Discussion, Conclusion
Research papers:
Introduction, Aims & Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion, IRB permission number

The Submission Should Be Accompanied By
  1. Statement of declaration of verification & consent to submit written by the submitting author on behalf of all authors
  2. Statement regarding any conflict of interest pertaining to all or any of the authors and source of funding if any
  3. Statement of declaration that consent has been obtained from the patient for submission of a case-based manuscript or poster, made by the submitting author
  4. For PG Residents making presentations-The declaration should be verified and countersigned by the HOD of the department.
  5. Research paper submissions should mention the IRB Permission number
    Clinical trials registry of India (CTRI) registration number is desirable but not mandatory.
    Kindly mention the Conference Registration No/ ID No

GUIDELINES FOR FREE PAPER PRESENTATION

  1. On receiving the acceptance mail, send your final presentations (as pptx with 12 slides) to [email protected] before 15/05/2024
  2. Presentations should include the following headings for the categories mentioned below:
    Case based discussions: Introduction, Case summary, Discussion Conclusion
    Research papers: Introduction, Aims & Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, IRB permission number, CTRI registration number (desirable).
    Randomised control trial reports should include CONSORT compliance flow-charts
    Systematic reviews and Meta-analysis reports should confirm to PRISMA Guidelines for the conduct &reporting of review results
    ` Acknowledgements if any may be mentioned after the Conclusion.
    References are to be enlisted in the Vancouver style in the order of their appearance in the document

  4. It is mandatory to bring your presentations in a Pen Drive/ Hard disk, WITH THE PRESENTER’S NAME AS FILE NAME, ready to be copied in the preview desk.
  5. Kindly bring all presentations in a ready to upload format.
  6. Only MS power point (pptx) format shall be accepted. Kindly avoid other formats
  7. We would discourage use of personal gadgets for presentation.
  8. Kindly insert any video (in mp4 format) and/or audio files if any in your presentation itself for hassle free presentation. Also have your video / audio file as a separate folder in case of any technical issues.
  9. Kindly stick to your allotted time: presentation - 7 min, discussion- 3 min
  10. Maximum number of slides for paper presentation - 12 slides.
  11. All presenters will receive a certificate of presentation.

  6. All presenters are requested to upload their presentation in the preview desk at least 2 hours prior to start of the session
